What is Acupuncture?

This is a procedure where pre-sterilized, disposable needles are inserted through the skin at determined points. A treatment may also consist of the application of heat/and or electrical stimulation to the skin to certain points as well.

Historically, this type of medicine dates back at least 2000 years with written records.  According to acupuncture disease is produced by an imbalance of “Qi” (pronounced Chi).  This “Qi” flows in meridians that flow all over the body and can become blocked thus causing problems. Most conditions can be treated with acupuncture, including pain to fatigue to anxiety to infertility.
